One of the priorities at Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital is investing in the education of the next generation of cardiac and vascular specialists. This endeavor ensures that we keep the hospital's mission alive and continue to provide quality medical care in the region. To facilitate this goal, we have several fellowship programs. The dedication, expertise, and compassion of our medical team is evident in everything we do, and our leaders work tirelessly with the physician trainees to pass on such values and to support fellows in the inspiring challenge of becoming a physician. These programs are a collaborative effort between Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital and Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. We promote diversity, quality, and a balance between classroom excellence and real-world experience.
We currently have four fellowship programs and are expanding the offerings.
The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship
The Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship
The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
The Advanced Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplantation Fellowship
The AGCME's Core Competencies is the foundation of each fellowship program. Also, all the fellowships require the fellow's active participation in research projects and scholarly activity equipping the fellow to further his or her experience in critical thinking and partake in cutting edge research. Moreover, fellows receive didactic instruction through attendance at cardiology lectures, morbidity & mortality conferences and cardiology-related courses and meetings.
